[COPY] MATERIALIST SCIENCE..AND MATERIALIST ART?
I thought I’d throw that one out there right away. It harkens back to a previous post, but there is a lot more to expand on with this But before we get to that i also talked about Scale Invariant things in the universe, previously. I mentioned this amazing thing, that Plasma discharge phenomena account the for Vortex geometry of entire galaxies and can be simulated and reproduced in a lab. And they look the same! I came up with images to show you.
This is an image of this phenomena unfolding in a galaxy. Now here is lab simulation of the same phenomenon
The same resulting form coming into being in small scale in A Lab and in a galaxy in inconceivably enormous scale! I added that perhaps forms and geometries that an Artist discovers in the course of creating a painting may have tapped into the same shape and form already existing on a cosmic level . What an idea. so while we are there Thinkin very big, I’ve brought out two paintings from my PORTALS series…actual size of each is 11”x 14”
It definitely looks like energies are taking form in space in both of these. If i see anything that looks anything like these in pictures of galaxies, you’ll be the first to know! Now for todays title, MATERIALIST SCIENCE…MATERIALIST ART? Materialist Science became cemented into the sciences by the late 19th century, and it is still clinging desperately to hold its position. The view is that everything we see is only matter on a small scale or in the Universe. It has its own internal machine like way of running itself independent of everything around it. Totally separate. And of course in this view, mind exists only in the brain. Study the brain and you will discover the mind. Dr. Rupert Sheldrake, the pioneering biologist, through peer reviewed papers has clearly demonstrated that Mind exists not only in the brain but is inseparable from the larger mind outside of the body. There is constant connection between the two. The same goes for Organic forms with internal structure, but that structure is inseparable from what he calls the Morphic field field outside of but inseparable from the organism. This is NOT materialist science, Now…Materialist Art.
Well they are definitely made of matter. Within or upon that painting, drawing or sculpture we see the subject painted. It’s all very self contained and self defining. It’s all there in what you see, look no further. Just like the self contained brain. Its all in front of you. That is what I’m calling materialist art. Now for Non Materialist. The Art work is still solid and observable, but perhaps in its creation the artist unintentionally connected with the mind outside of the brain, and a line or shape or colors unexpectedly came forth in the work. I have made such connections in my own work and the results were unexpected and exciting. This being the case, the viewer could also have such a connection between the local and the non local and have an experience taking place in the work and outside of it.
I’ll be writing more about this soon. It is endlessly fascinating
As always thank you for joining me on another foray into Art and the Infinite!
